Training Programs
The RCSL supports interactive courses and educational programs for the healthcare community. Multidisciplinary activities are encouraged with simulation-based team training.
Introduction to Simulation-Based Training for Healthcare provides important educational and technical information to enable attendees to launch their own training program with simulation. Along with the history and educational philosophy behind teaching with simulation, you will learn how to apply important case-based strategies for developing an effective curriculum though hands-on training exercises and presentations. The course will use simulators made by Medical Education Technologies, Inc (METI) and presents an introduction to scenario scripting within the software. Laptop computers will be provided for individualized learning. METI user guides and supplemental materials will also be distributed to all attendees prior to the course. This is a train-the-trainer course that has awarded continuing education credits in past years. Completion establishes Super User status within the RCSL. Next course: tentatively week of May 5, 2008--stay tuned!
